RF
Radiofrequency (RF) technology can be used in a range of medical and aesthetic treatments to improve the app earance of the skin, tightening the skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Radio frequency works by applying electrical currents to the skin, generating heat within the skin cells, which stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.
HOW RF TECHNOLOGY WORKS
RF machines emit a high frequency electrical current that can target specific areas of skin, using a range of different hand_pieces or applicators. This energy is absorbed by the skin tissue, causing the skin to heat up to a controlled temperature.
The heat generated by a Radio frequency treatment stimulates the production of new elastin fibres and collagen, which can lift and tighten the skin, reduce wrinkles and smooth the skin texture. Over a number of treatments, the skin becomes firmer and smoother.
RF TECHNOLOGY BENEFITS
RF treatments can penetrate deeper into the skin, compared with other treatments like Laser or Ultrasound. Thismeans that it can target deeper layers of the skin like the dermis and subcutaneous layers, where it can stimulate the production of collagen.
RF technology is generally considered to be safe and effective for most skin types and colours, with fewer side effects than othertreatments. However, each treatment application and device will apply RF in a different way, so you always need to research each specific device and what treatment it targets.
